About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Celebrating Summer and all that goes with it...

ABOUT ME

I get around, you know? I'm a professional visitor, a homeless (is that a typo?) romantic, a voyageur of sorts, a guy who wonders whatâ

PHILOSOPHY

I hope I have no fear. I fear I have no hope. I dream of ambition, and my only ambition is to dream.

“Have you ever had a death wish?” “Yes”, answered Dan, to the host’s surprise. “When?” “The only time I worked a nine-to-five job.” ~Dan Doody, Everest Mountaineer.

“When the situation is hopeless, there’s nothing to worry about.”~ Edward Abbey- Abbey’s Road

“It is good to collect things, but it is better to go on walks.” ~Anatoly France

"I love to reach home by climbing over the back fence and to travel on by paths." Lin Yutang

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

To me the whole concept of CS is marvelous. It allows you to travel, meet new people, be economical, learn new things, and create positive experiences, something this world needs.

I can participate by surfing and hosting, sharing knowledge and gaining it by the simple act of asking a stranger to take you in for the night.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've surfed in Idaho, Montana, Michigan, and British Columbia. It's been great. I met a lot of interesting and friendly people, who I wouldn't have met otherwise.

Interests

A million interests, just try me. Exploring. Travel. Vanning. Cooking. Reading. Relaxing. Hiking. Writing. Photography. Playing my Banjo. HOT SPRINGS! Charcoal Sketching. Learning. Skiing. One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once took a spelling test and I got 2 gold stars on it.

I've kissed 9 different California Gray Whales in the wild. (Preposterous, but True).

I recently found a 30 foot high hot water waterfall at a hot spring in Idaho.

I know how to dance the "Denali Mountain Dance" which if done properly will bring you blue skies.

I stood next to Peggoty Bluff on South Georgia Island. This where Shackleton landed after crossing 800 miles of open ocean in a 24 foot wooden boat.

I've sat amongst the penguin colonies on the Antarctic Peninsula.

I've slacklined in the shadow of Cerro Fitzroy.

Teach, Learn, Share

The fine art of vanning. Photography. How to have fun in the natural world. Cooking. I'd like to try to make you laugh.
