Sobre mí

CURRENT MISSION

Printing paper goods for the everyday

ABOUT ME

After graduation, I spent a year and a half living and working in Uganda for an NGO dedicated to educational development in the war-affected northern region. I moved back stateside to Philadelphia until I was able to depart for my next extended trip overseas: Russia. I spent five months around Moscow, exploring the city's emerging local food movement, studying the language, and assisting a great organization that bridges the gap between farm and table develop their English website. I documented (and will continue to document) my experiences with agriculture and food abroad through a personal website: www.thekolokol.com

My husband, Andrew, and I spent three months cycling in southern India last year. We lugged ourselves cross-country to Oregon so I could begin a master's program in Cultural Anthropology at Oregon State University. I returned to Russia in 2013 to conduct my ethnographic fieldwork. After finishing my degree, I moved to the stunning north Oregon Coast. I now teach as an adjunct instructor at the local community college as well as run a budding letterpress print studio, Taiga Press (www.taigapress.com).
