About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Life

ABOUT ME

I'm living in London currently, but I'll be doing a 7 week trip through Europe and Thailand before heading home to Australia in October. I'm a fan of the simple things in life, I love music, wine, good food, and good company. You'll probably get a better idea of what I'm like from my references.

PHILOSOPHY

Do whatever makes you happy and surround yourself with good people.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've been a couch surfing host in Canberra since January 2010. I've always lived in big friendly share houses and I come from a big family, so I love having extra people around. Fellow couchsurfers are always interesting open people who share the same outlook on life. I spent two months couchsurfing around Europe summer 2010 and I couldn't think of a better way to travel.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Love it. I've met some great people through this website. The generostiy of strangers constantly amazes me.

Interests

I'm a huge fan of food. I will go out of my way for a good coffee or the perfect pizza. I love making things from scratch and getting my hands into it. I'm most at home in the kitchen, covered in flour dancing around to some kind of whimsical music.
I'm very into my music and try to go to as many gigs as I can afford. There's so much music in London, it's been very exciting.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Sufjan Stevens, Beirut, Bright Eyes, Damien Rice, Feist, Jenny Lewis, She and Him, The National, Radiohead and the beatles, just to name a few.
Favourite movie is Amelie.
Only just getting into reading, but a couple of books recently that I've read and enjoyed are Jane Eyre, Life of pie, The curious incident of the dog in the nighttime, One Day and the reader. I love doing book exchanges with fellow travellers, gets me reading things I don't normally try.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hmmm. I hate questions like this. I wish I could say I've hiked a huge mountain, or bungee jumped, but I haven't.
My trip to the Cinque Terra in Italy was pretty amazing though, it was incredibly beautiful.
Also, my decision to uproot my life and move to London for a little adventure has been an amazing and challenging experience.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm the master of cheesecake making, if anyone wants to learn, and I also make a mean vegetarian Lasagne. I've also worked as a piano teacher in the past, so if you have a piano or a Keyboard I could teach you a few things. In exchange I need some guitar lessons, I can play three songs so far.
