About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To extend my comfort zone.
ABOUT ME
I have a pretty easy-going personality; I'm warm-hearted, funny, friendly and original.
I love to play and listen to music, I like writing, and I enjoy watching motorsport. I love to travel and I try to travel every opportunity I get. This is despite years ago swearing I'd never hop on a plane again after a scary flight to Fiji but of course I had to hop on a plane to get back.
One month in Cuba in 2006 is one of the more unique holidays I've been lucky to experience.
My primary motivation in life is for freedom of action and freedom of movement - having the ability to come and go as I please. I have an eagerness for knowledge and travel and a strong urge to expand in life and to broaden my personal horizons.
I travel like Tony Wheeler !
You are someone who others will come to rely on for their best travel advice and information. With any luck at all, you'll eventually get bought out by the BBC, so you can retire, and then keep traveling anyway.
What type of traveler are you?

PHILOSOPHY
Rather than watching life from the sideline, I like to have direct experiences that give the sense that you are living life to the fullest.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I like to meet up with local couchsurfers for a drink or social activity to get to know the locals and the town better.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
As I travel on the spur of the moment with little time to give much notice, my couchsurfing experience has mainly been meeting with people for a coffee. I did, in June of 2012, have a great time surfing on the couch of a friendly guy , Racuna, in Santiago, Chile. I've met some wonderful CS people whilst travelling through South America in Lima, Cusco, Cochabamba, Santiago, Buenos Aires, Rosario and Quito.

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies;
'From Dusk til Dawn' is one of my favourite movies. I like how it has you asking 'WTF?' half way through as the film changes genre. To play with the viewers mind like that really appeals to my sense of humour.
Music: From Missy Higgines through to Nine inch Nails. From The Doors through to psytrance. Not a fan of reggae or reggaeton
Books: Feel the Fear ... and do it Anyway. by Susan Jeffers.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I wrote a memoir about the different people and places I experienced whilst travelling over a ten year period from '97 - '07.
I took some of the funny stories and wrote songs about them. I recorded and released them as an album in 2018.
Teach, Learn, Share
I love the saying, ¨When one person teaches, two people learn.¨
