About Me
A Portuguese programmer/artist/cat enthusiast living in Poland for the last decade.
I live in Warsaw with my girlfriend and cat (as in both of them, my girlfriend is not a cat) and try to experience the world at every chance I get. I love to travel in general but for me the best journeys are those where you just go with the flow and don't know exactly where you will end up. Hitchhiking trips in particular have a special place in my heart.
It's a bit tough for us to host right now particularly because of my gf's job as she often has to wake up at 5AM, however if you find that we might get along well feel free to hit me up, maybe the timing will be good and I will be able to host you and if not we can always meet up for a coffee or beer.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love the idea of couchsurfing and I was lucky enough to find it by the time I started travelling on my own. It honestly makes a world of difference. There's much more to every single place than just a place. Meeting local people, experiencing the local lifestyle, all of that plays a big role in experiencing a place and I'm glad someone came up with a way to create that kind of exchange while making travel more affordable to everyone at the same time.
I've had a few CS experiences over the years already and they usually turn out to be awesome! I've been to a few countries and I can say that in all of them I was able to meet wonderful people and have a really good time. As a host I've had less occasions but the same positive outcome, had a couple of really nice experiences and I'm eager for more.
Haven't done much CSing (and not nearly as much traveling as I'd like to) in the past couple years and I'm looking to fix that.
Interests
Nature, hiking and exploring remote places is something that has always fascinated me and I'll always be up for it. When not in the outdoors I'm fond of board games, tabletop games and computer games as well, often with fantasy or sci-fi themes.

Music, Movies, and Books
books: The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy and Brave New World.
movies: Lord of the Rings, Predestination, Fight Club, The Mists of Avalon, Into the Wild, Coherence
music: I enjoy metal the most (Blind Guardian, Kamelot, Feuerschwanz, Powerwolf, Fenrir), however I often listen to other genres as well, particularly folk. Patty Gurdy and Loreena McKennitt are among my favourites.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Lost my wallet within half an hour during my first time traveling. Managed to survive pretty well, the trip went much better than expected and I got addicted afterwards (to traveling, not losing my wallet).
Hitchhiking from Poland to Portugal and back was quite a wild ride, no pun intended.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Life experiences and interesting stories, delicious Spanish style tortillas, any knowledge about digital art, photography and 3D modelling, silly curious trivia.
I have a fair share of experience with animal photography (by myself as well as in animal shelters etc.) so if you have a pet I can take a few gorgeous pictures of them.
Countries I’ve Visited
Albania, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, France, Georgia, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Montenegro, Morocco, Nepal, Netherlands, Norway, Russian Federation, Serbia, Slovenia, Spain, Svalbard and Jan Mayen, Sweden, Switzerland, Ukraine, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom
