Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I participate on CS by trying to be an amazing host when I can. The majority of the time I've been on Couchsurfing, I've either had roommates or lived with my parents that were not keen to the Couchsurfing philosophy. However, I will have my own place when I return back to the states this winter and look forward to hosting and cooking for travelers.
I try to be productive in my local meet-ups (when I'm not traveling) and try to remember to post in the forums when there is free music events.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
my friends Judy and Andre turned me onto this website because I was planning a European tour. I Couchsurfed nearly a dozen times on that trip, and all but one experience was super positive and heart-felt. I am a super easy-going liberal and willing to let people stay at my house, so why not create a profile and contribute!

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: I enjoy most movies that would fall into a "cult classic" genre. I have a fetish when it comes to zombie films, whether they are good, corny, or funny. I am always willing to watch an international movie. Some of my favorite movies include: Fight Club, American History X, American Beauty, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Run Lola Run, and others.
Music: Bob Marley will always come first. Sublime will always be a close second. I listen to a lot of classic rock (The Doors, Hendrix, Rolling Stones, etc.), I listen to and deejay all forms of downtempo, electronic, and house music. I am also a big fan of Jazz, Blues, underground Hip-Hop, and 1990s rock.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Although I don't believe in organized religion, I have had some amazing conversations with god out on a rock out in the middle of the water. She reassures me that everything will be alright.
Top 3 things I've done in my life:
*Graduate college (I'm the first male in my family to ever do that)
*Fling tomatoes at La Tomatina in Bunol
*Kept a promise to my grandmother that I would visit her hometown in Germany and surprisingly meet my entire German family in the process.
