ABOUT ME

Yeah, well I think I'am a very warmhearted person, who is interested in many things such as cultural stuff, politics, society (issues) in general and so on ;) Most of the time I appreciate a good conversation more than going out, but sometimes I just need to dance like an insane. I think I am a quite good listener, but also someone who likes to share his thoughts, so I don' know, I guess I am just a nice person like all of you people on Couchsurfing ;)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

While being abroad in the Netherlands for half a year during an erasmus exchange I met poeple via couchsurfing who where organizing different sorts of events, also I've stayed with different couchsurfers in London and one in Gent, I also hosted one couchsurfer from Hamburg who was a very good introduction into hosting people.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far I have taken the chance to couchsurf on peoples couches in England and in Belgium, which were very nice experiences, since both times I stayed with lovely people with whom I enjoyed hanging out, exploring the city and the local bars;)

Interests

I think Im very interested in people and society in general, and everything which is involved with this. That implies psychology, sociology, philosophy, politics, theatre, movie and so on ;) besides studying and working I try to do all kinds of activities to have a balance to study and work life, that includes singing, dancing, having good conversations with friends, listening to music, going to exhibitions and so on. Recently I started to learn Turkish and my future project is to learn how to play the piano.

One of my favourite things to do maybe sounds a little boring but I really love to just stroll around with music in my ear. Thats something I really need to do like drinking water and putting myself to bed.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favourite band is Ja, Panik because I appreciate them for the huge energy of their music and their briliant mixture of english and german lyrics.

I also like bands like Tocotronic, Frittenbude, Naked Lunch, Caspian, The Cure, David Bowie, New Order, Joy Division, Smashing Pumpkins, The Velvet Underground, Beirut, Cat Power, The Cinematic Orchestra, and some Austrian artists such as Soap&Skin, Der Nino aus Wien, Voodoo Jürgens and so on.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I think so far the most amazing experience in my life was travelling to iceland, since I was completely overwhelmed with the astonishing beauty and variety of icelandic landscapes.

Also spending five months in the Netherlands during an erasmus exchange was a very enriching experience for me since I got to the chance to have a quite good insight into a different way of living and culture.
