About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Be happy. Arrange priorities accordingly. Know myself in order to do so. And go somewhere on holiday once in a while :)

ABOUT ME

Anything at all? Well in that case, I do enjoy caramelizing onions before cooking meat. But I guess that doesn't say too much about me apart from the fact that I probably like cooking, which I do. I also enjoy tennis, football, boxing, reading about politics and new ideas, thinking about how nice my new tv will be when I save enough to buy it, how cool it will be to be finally running my own business and discovering that there's a lot of awesome music out there to discover, as well as fascinating, truly wonderful experiences to be had with people and by yourself once you've got into life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Well, I tell people about it. I really support it and I'm very open to people staying with me.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've never actually couchsurfed with another 'couchsurfer' but I've been put up a few times by people I haven't really known! One great experience was when I hitchhiked for charity and found myself in Brussels with nowhere to sleep. So what do we do? Go get a beer...And after subsequent free drinks out of pity from from the barmaids, we were offered to crash at their apartment upstairs :) so what's the moral of that story? hmmm

Teach, Learn, Share

When finding yourself in a debate, try and put yourself into the shoes of an objective person and then describe your position and act with that perspective in mind. you will find yourself being first of all a lot more understanding of the other person and also a lot more aware of why you hold a particular perspective. And in general, being felt understood is very satisfying and often only after being understood are you open to the other person's perspective. Therefore, after truly understanding somebody you will most likely find that your thoughts are actually aligned and you will also find the other person being a lot more open to you and your perspective.
