About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Be kind to everyone including yourself.

ABOUT ME

I am plain vanilla. I don't like talking about myself. I get up at 5:30am and do yoga and meditate. I have a yoga class Monday nights at the house.I like to read.

PHILOSOPHY

Less is more. Even less is better. At any moment life as you know it can completely change. See the good and it will look back at the good everywhere. I think it is wrong to be mean. Kindness is easy to give away. Never be so broke you can't give a smile to someone. It could change everything for them and yourself too.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Mostly by hosting.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We have had some wonderful times with people surfing at our house. One time we took our small trailer up to a campground and hour away (to test the camper)and met a young couple with their dog. A few hours later they were in Olympia, our town, having coffee at the same place we were. We invited them to our house, and they actually needed a place to overnight. We had couch surfers from Germany staying too. I made a dinner, mostly from our garden. The couch surfers, campers, and Doug and myself had a lovely time.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I saw a tomato plant growing in the crack of a concrete wall at the most perfect place to get the drip of a gutter and the sun and warmth off a wall. It was growing tomatoes in a city alley.

I saw a very long string of eggs coming out of copulating frogs. At one end tadpoles were forming and at the other eggs were dropping out.

I saw a child being born.

I have seen reconciliations between estranged people.

Teach, Learn, Share

Permaculture, deep philosophies, human experiences that have shaped us. I am really into food as a healing mechanism. When I prepare food, I think of it as something magical which will make a difference.
