CURRENT MISSION
see the world meet its denizens
ABOUT ME
I love to travel. I travel so much, I really have no social life in my hometown. Every time I get a break, I am on a plane or on the road. I usually travel by myself to visit friends and families along the way. Food is good, especially when it is favorful. I have a long list of things that I cannot eat but I always carry my hot sauce. Smiling is contagious, pass it on.
PHILOSOPHY
Live life like its going out of style, make sure that you like the style. Life is too short to not think about your actions and consequences.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I would like to travel and meet really interesting and sane people. Sane is the optimum word. I am willing to show visitors around the big city. I live in Brooklyn, far away from the city, with lots of trees and houses.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
During the summer of 2007, I went island hopping in the Caribbean. I booked an island hopping pass with LIAT from Grenada to Dominica, St. Lucia, St. Vincent and St. Thomas. I only had hotel reservations for Dominica. Immigration gave me such a hard time in St. Vincent. They did not understand why I had an island hopping ticket, why I was traveling alone and why I didn't have accommodation plans. I quickly called my mechanic in Brooklyn who then called his son in St. Vincent. The son had to come to the airport and pick me up. Immigration told him that I was his responsibility while I stayed on the island. I stayed with him and his girlfriend. I was so sorry and grateful at the same time. They prepared the extra bedroom for me. I offered him money but he didn't want to accept it but I left it before I departed for the airport. To top it off, the son told me that he and his father do not have a good relationship. What a great guy!
