ABOUT ME

We're a English/German couple who lived in London until March 2010 then travelled around Eastern Europe until the end of August 2010 and have now moved to Nijmegen in the Netherlands from October 2010 and are keen to continue our couchsurfing experiences.

PHILOSOPHY

Amy writing: Hmm, will have to think about this one. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. I want to feel that by living (which in itself is a pretty futile thing) I have contributed something. Don't feel that I have yet, but there's still time!

We enjoyed staying with some couchsurfers during our trip in 2010 would like to be able to repay the favour in Nijmegen.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Through my sister, a veteran couchsurfer of a couple of years. She's had some great experiences and I think it's wonderful that something like this can exist so peacefully and successfully - long may it continue!

Interests

We like watching films, reading, cycling, playing tennis, playing football (Martin does anyway) and TRAVELLING!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Not sure I have yet.
We did climb Waynu Picchu at dawn in Peru a couple of years ago when it was really foggy all around. When we got to the top we sat there for about an hour while the fog lifted to give us the view of Macchu Picchu - an experience that I thought would have been ruined by the number of tourists it sees every year, but that was still magical as we approached it in this different way.

Teach, Learn, Share

We both speak German and English fluently and would be willing to offer help in those.

Amy's trying to learn the guitar and could always do with helpful pointers with that as she gets a bit frustrated with barré chords.
