About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Live a self-sufficient, relaxed but responsible lifestyle with respect for all living beings.
ABOUT ME
A kind hearted person, always giving back more than I receive.
PHILOSOPHY
Emphaty, fun, respect, value knowledge and experiences a lot, never had a guru never will, draw my own path my own limits, listen to everyone and read all sides of the story before making up my mind minimised by any sort of influence.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have now settled on a tiny tropical island near Lombok and enjoy meeting travelers and exchanging stories and knowledge.
The island I made home lives 100% on tourism and due to local community regulations, couchsurfing is not allowed so I have to respect the local rules of our island however I'm happy to meet up and provide travel and safety advice.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I guess I've been doing a lot of couchsurfing from before the term existed by staying with friends or friends/family of friends at places I've visited as I find it a very enriching experience and a fantastic way to be involved and to live like a local.
Interests
Snorkeling, enjoying the beautiful views, making new friends to connect at different levels, listening to stories and experiences... when in a city hub (which is not very often) I'm a big festival, concert, gig goer and also like nature walks, camping, new routes, always meeting new people. Sometimes I just read and think and dream and plan and I'm in my own world.

Music, Movies, and Books
Too many to list I guess, I'm into alternative films that most of the time happen to be from the Balkans, sometimes French sometimes I just like a director's style and follow up on him/her.
Musicwise I lean to rock, MPB&Latinjazz, reaggie and new discoveries at festivals and gigs. I also collect and enjoy etchnic music from around the world.
Books.. also too many to list, I like reading what they call magic realism (like Marquez), books on world issues and thoughts (like Chomsky) and the mystic genre.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
When we stopped to look at a night tiger snake close to Kakadu National Park in NT Australia and my friend got bitten..twice:-)
When I got my face (lip to nose) cut open when spearfishing (hit myself with the back of the speargun on my first trial ever) on Magnetic island near Townsville, QLD, Australia..
When I was interviewing a local chief in Ogun State of Nigeria to find out the chief-kin passes on by eating the heart of the deceased King of the village..
When I saw my first ger and the vast emptiness in Mongolian steppes..
When my jaw dropped at Queen Elizabeth National Park in Uganda..
and many many other times...
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm happy to share everything I know and curious to discover what others have experienced at spiritual, intellectual and experimental layers.
I like working with my hands so I weave hats and decorations from coconut leaves sometimes, create art that doesn't fall into any category, volunteer for the community and some not for profits and you are welcome to be involved as much or as little as you wish.
