About Me

Right now, staying in Yukon until September'16! Would love to meet some people

About me :
I smile :) Pretty much the whole time.

A hint of my personality:

I am open for experiencing everything new, new cultures, languages and especially food. I just love asian food and i am currently learning about the Sri Lankan cuisine.

I am here on couchsurfing to meet people, that i never imagined to meet, see places, how the locals see, and have conversations about life, the universe, biology, behaviours, education and the way how different people see the world through different eyes.

I visit the countries to make friends with locals, live with them in their houses, ride the oldest buses and go through towns and forest no foreigner has been seen for ages. I am totally adapting to the countries culture, whereever i am, in terms of good clothes behaviour and i really try, the language. Thats what real travelling is for me :)
I am not going to countries for taking photos, visiting every "must see" and for example ride on elephants. (I am really against animal abuse and any kind of putting animals in a cage and use them somehow is abuse for me)

In June 2014 i started travelling, stayed in France, New Zealand, India and Sri Lanka.
In this time, i changed completely. Nah thats the wrong formulation, its rather that my behaviour and believes changed completely, but i found out who i really am.

Nature is my favorite (a big reason why I am vegan). I love everything that has to do with it and i try my best to help, so it's not getting destroyed more. I really enjoy going on long walks, spending hours just staring out to the sea, see new trees and animals and i actually love watching ants working :D
I am not a big hiker or sports freak, i enjoy it but without pressure. I love doing everything relaxed and if i like to do something or not, i just decide it spontaneously.
In total i am very spontaneous, i am someone who you could ask to catch a plane to panama the next day and I'd be good to go immediately.

I just started my studies now in Economical psychology and business, but i am doing it on correspondence so it doesn't matter where on the world i am.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love how easy and joyful it is to connect to people with couchsurfing, it already gave me many awesome experiences and i guess it will in the future. People on couchsurfing are open minded and i really like just going with the flow, letting coincidences decide my way and meet the world!

Couchsurfing experience

I surfed a few times now and just loved it. I will definitely host Couchsurfers when i have a flat but at the moment, my backpack is my home!
I might settle down next year in Canada for a while, then i am really looking forward to be a good host.

Interests

Everything new :)

In general i am interested in different cultures, untouched nature, animal welfare, and changing the world. Even if its just a tiny percentage.

Music, Movies, and Books

I haven't got any special genre that i prefer. But if I'd need to choose one it's Indie. i listen to Ed sheeran, Acrtic monkeys, Eminem, KIZ, John Mayer, etc.
I enjoy Songs that have meaningful texts and are good to sing. As soon as i like a song i usually learn the lyrics because i like singing a lot, especially with someone else. So if you enjoy music as well, feel free to show me!

I like non-fiction books, especially real stories and some travel biographies (Like wild from cheryl strayed or eat pray love).

I don't like watching tv at all.
I've got a pretty critical view about the media, i question everything what they say. So for not wasting my time with lies, i try to aviod the tv and radio media. But its not that i avoid news, i just do my research with other sources.

Sometimes i like to watch a movie or documentary, but just if it brings a message with itself and gives me impetus to think.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Swimming in the Ocean with fullmoon light at the northern most point of new zealand.

Hitchhiking mostly alone around NZ

Biting in a cinnamon tree

Living with an ayurvedic doctor for 4 weeks where i learned about the sri lankan cuisine, plants, massages and Acupuncture.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to share my understanding of the world, my knowledge and love. I was a voluntary teacher in a few English classes so i could help with that. I am someone who is full of ideas so it doesn't matter what its about - if you'd like some advice or just someone who will do the road trip with you, i love spending my time with laid back but switched on people.

I love baking and cooking for others and learning about other peoples cuisine. (Preferably vegan)

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am a really good talker, so if our interests and spirits fit, i can offer you long and deep conversations.
My cooking and baking skills are not bad either.

In total i can give you a lot of fun if we are on the same level of craziness :D
