About Me

I´m completely new to couchsurfing, but as someone I met on the train last week pointed out, once I trust in life and people, magic starts to happen. I might as well start now.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

"Strangers are just friends we haven’t met yet."
- Francis Firebrace (Nirrimi's father), theroadishome.com

Interests

- vegetarian, vegan and raw food - count me in on desserts! (I love exploring new cafes and restaurants)
- festivals of any kind - music, film & food especially
- wandering around cities, exploring and finding their hidden gems (from walking through parks and community gardens to nosing around bookstores -children´s section especially- or visiting modern art museums or old movie theatres)
- TED talks (hi there Ken Robinson, Brené Brown and Amanda Palmer!)
- Flight of the Conchords (!)
- mindfulness meditation and a bit of yoga, too
- fika (all day long!)
- chocolate (want to learn more about coffee, too!)
- cats

Music, Movies, and Books

I love stumbling across a song and then replaying it over and over - right now it´s "Water Song" by Mekila. Each season, new love. Some go, some stay: Glen Hansard, Sigur Rós and Jónsi, Asaf Avidan, Hozier...I absolutely adore npr and their Tiny Desk Concerts. I love sharing music and making playlists for dear friends.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Worked at a raw food restaurant in Prague and then packed my bags and set off for the amazing Wilderness Festival in England this summer!

Teach, Learn, Share

I want to learn from people who are passionate about the work and/or travels they have done as well as the place where they live at the moment and find out what makes them feel alive and grateful.

Countries I’ve Visited

Costa Rica, Iceland, India, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In
