Couchsurfing seems to be a great idea which makes you have a better experience while you're travelling. I like to feel how local people live, and it's more far to reach when I stay in a hotel, for example.

I can teach you to cook some Brazilian food or even some basic steps in the kitchen, if you don't know nothing at all. Once I did it to an Indian friend and now she's very happy to be able to cook for herself.
