We are Masha and Misha, a lively and outgoing couple.

We have had different experiences before we met, however now we are planning our trips and life together, aimed at enjoying and discovering it bit by bit.

We graduated from our Universities in Moscow and applied for a scholarship in Harbin, China, where we had spent 3 unforgettable years. This is so far the most overwhelming experience we've had, as it allowed us to learn so much about different cultures, peoples and do, taste, see and learn things we wouldn't have dreamt of otherwise.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Having heard about cs years ago, we would have never thought of becoming a part ourselves if it weren't thanks to our friend. It seemed a little 'awkward' at first, but soon we got the hang of it.

We enjoy going out for dinners with our guests and just chatting or showing them around the city. Having hosted more before actually becoming guests, we realized how important it is to leave enough space for communication, not just running around all the touristy places during a trip. Being with people often gives a better picture.

Interests

A good hike, volleyball, skiing, eating, hanging out, a nice chat, eating, eating, eating, trying new food, spending time with a book, cooking, going out to dance, eating.

Music, Movies, and Books

We have pretty diverse tastes in music, so it's hard to just name something particular.

Misha is a movie fan- he watches almost everything and ever since we've been together we watched countless films. There are days when we're into Woodie Allen's comedies, on others Gattaka makes our day. Among our latest favorites is Hector's Adventures in Search of Happiness; Stranger than Fiction.

Books.. more into classics but lately have been enjoying some the more contemporary prose. But that's just a topic for an endless conversation.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Traveling in China, we made a walk of 16km along the five peaks of mount Huashan in one day, climbed the peak of 2160m and walked along the plank path or sky-walk, as they call it. Although it is a touristy place, it is totally breathtaking and mind-blowing!

Teach, Learn, Share

After getting a bit of experience in cs in both hosting and being a guest, we realized how cool it is to connect with different people and sort of be on the same wave.
With some of our csers we went out to rock the night, others were super interesting to chat with.... Any way works with us.
We love to get to know people, share our knowledge about the city, give advice and get some in return.
Like most of the people here we've learned a lot of things about the cultures of people from various parts of the globe and that is priceless!
We know a few languages and can share our knowledge about that too. :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

We can cook and go out and chat, go hiking. It all depends on the mood and schedule of the host. But we're always open to suggestions!:)
