About Me

I quite enjoy to walk around places, talk with fellow members of my species and I also write things down sometimes. I know, I know... it sounds very basic, but I think there's more to it if you think about it. What if you walked a bit more than you do? What if you talked more with people that you otherwise wouldn't? What if you wrote down things that you usually find to be too [insert adjective here] to write? You might ask, yeah, sure, but why write this in your 'about me' section? Well, these are sorta meta-phisico-political principles that guide me when I wake up some days so it is about me in the end as well. But, wait a minute... doesn't all about me sections say something about you as well? You might have noticed by now that I like asking questions.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I can't say that I have any particular reason, but why not?
While I can offer hosting only for special occasions at the moment, showing around is something I quite enjoy, especially if you're interested in places even the locals are not fully aware of. I had this project where I walked kinda a lot of miles (~500) around the city of Riga hanging out with the vagabonds, doing random stuff and trying to picture the whole thing together. I found out that it's actually not really possible as it's always changing, but the process was cool and I like to include others in trips like this. There is always some plant, used toilet paper or a beautiful dress being dried around the corner.

Interests

It is very easy to get me interested in something. A bit too easy actually. Jeez, I have no idea how to give enough space to all my interests. Good luck trying to tell me that a thing is not worth my interest. Wouldn't that be interesting?

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Once on the first of January I decided that it's a good idea to try reading 100 books in 100 days. Well, and then I did it and lost my mind. It's highly not recommended, but it might have been worth it if I think back. It might have as well not, but there was something amazing in the process if I understand the word correctly.

Teach, Learn, Share

That's what she said.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm ok with sharing beverages. I am also ok with eating from one plate if you don't have too many. Sharing foodstuff I think is quite universally accepted, people do it even in restaurants. Sharing some other objects I think need to be discussed specifically, but I think I'm quite ok with sharing most of the stuff that I carry. Sharing economy should be more discussed, no? Oh, sharing moments is nice. There's also the thing that I work in education and sharing some things verbally is a bit of my job. I prefer to share learning experiences instead of just dropping all kinds of "knowledge" things on people, but that's not that easy to do.
