Hi guys my name is James
I work as an outdoor instructor in The Lake District. I have grown up in a scouting family and have always had an enjoyment for adventure and being outdoors. I am a really friendly and outgoing person who love to have a laugh and try new things; making new friends along the way.

I enjoy travelling to new places and meeting new people along the way. I spent 8 months travelling and now enjoy have a few weeks away a year to go and experience new cultures and people.

Pretty much any outdoor activty but to name a few: walking, caving, skiing, mountain biking, paddling. I also enjoy main stream sports and am keen to give a new sport ago. I enjoy a bit of healthy competition. I own a Volkswagen transporter van which i have kitted out and have used this to travel to various places across the uk using it as accommodation. I went to university in the Lake District and since then my love for the mountainous landscape has grown. Working in the outdoors in the UK has taken us to some fantastic places, whilst travelling I have had the pleasure of seeing what some other counties have to offer. And I am keen to keep exploring more!

I feel i have been extremely lucky and been given so many opportunities to give things ago however a week which stands out for both of us is when i spent a week travelling from Spain to Portugal as part of the crew on a tall ship sailing boat, fantastic weather, views and company. Hopefully with this trip there will be many more amazing moments for me to share with my friends and families. I am currently going around Ireland on a tandem with a friend which is great fun!

Everyday is a learning day and hopefully i will experience and learn new things about new places and people everyday. If i can help people on my way and pass on some of my knowledge that's even better and sharing is something i have been brought up to actively do every day.

I am always keen to learn new things and hear stories of other people's lives.
