I am passionate about exploring new lands and new cultures. Growing up in a small town I wasn't exposed to or educated about the diverse world we live in. I have always been the curious type, so any chance I get (or extra funds) I try to explore outside my comfort zone.

I adventured on my first backpacking trip to Costa Rica last year. The whole trip was very random and last minute but I managed to do some research and plan a little. That trip was by far the best thing to happen in my life. I was a solo traveler who knew very little Spanish but had the hunger for exploration. I learned a lot about myself and others and I met some very courageous and interesting people from all corners of the earth. I knew from then on I was going to explore other lands and learn as much as I can with the resources I have.

I want to experience first hand how others live regardless of the living condition. How amazing would it be to be able to connect to a human at their level? This is exactly how LASTING relationships and friendships are made. I don't just want to stay with a CS host but rather, hang out with them, eat what they eat, do what they do, and of course accept their recommendation for exciting sights and events in the area. This is my ideal accommodation request but I understand that everyone will not be able to commit that much time into my traveling effort.

With that said, I am also very curious to learn about culture and religion. I am not biased when it comes to either, just thirsty for knowledge. I want to be able to have my own opinion on those subjects rather than be influenced by my upbringing and community where I am from. I am a very good listener and you'll probably catch me taking notes if I stay with you. I am also very open to talk about my experiences in life and can give advice that I deem useful.

What I like to do in my free time is live. EVERYTHING I do is contributing to the person I love; myself. I have grown to love and accept all the things I cannot change about myself and I have noticed this has been an ever-changing revelation. To my understanding, you cannot love others if you don't love yourself first.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have done a few amazing things but one that stands out the most is a road trip across the United States with my best friend. We lived out of our car most of the time but we also met people that shared their homes and facilities with us. We did not plan anything, but rather planned as we went. We did exactly what we wanted when we wanted and it turned out to be one of the greatest trips. I have plenty of stories and crazy things that happened that I will share another time.
