I'm a grad student at SFU, British Columbia, doing my MSc in Physics. Beside this, I'm a fan of outdoor sports and travelling around. In most cases this means backpacking/hiking far from the cities but who would not check out an interesting place once it's there?
I have a permanent duality in my life because of constantly alternating between sciences and sports. So once I escape from academia for a while, I crave for adventures. When I'm on my way travelling, I'm seeking the real taste of the given place, want to know how locals live their life there. Therefore, beside being grateful for no more than a place on your couch for the night, I'm also glad for any experience in the city.
