About Me
Hello!
My story:
2013: (The Philippines, Thailand, Myanmar, Cambodia): volunteer in Manila and backpack south east Asia ( I got dengue in Palawan), then went to Egypt for few weeks and back home.
2014-2015: I moved to Malta for a year to work as a country manager in AIESEC. During that time I backpack western Europe during Christmas and hitchhike the Balkans before going home.
2015-2016 : back in Lima to finish my degree
2016 - 2018 (India, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Indonesia)
Peruvian out of home, travelling for a year already. I can't host you cuz I'm not there :)
I'm living my dream of travelling the world while doing painting, writing and recycling projects. Not 100% money sustainable yet, but working on it :)
I want to consider myself a traveller, passionate about the environment, nature, art, recycling, mountains and sea. I rather a whole day outside doing sports like kayacking, hiking, trekking, diving, playing basketball, than a night out clubbing. Im not a party person. I prefer a interesting conversation over wine and cheese, or cooking, or diving night into the sea! :)
I love to learn new things, and prefer things that push me away of my comfort zone. Before start my diving curse I was shit scare about swing and water sports.... I paint and write as a hobby... and I'm learning more about photography. To learn kick boxing, fencing, surfing and piano is still on my list.
At home I was experimenting/learning gardening too, and I hope in few years I will manage to have my own vegetables :) and want to learn permaculture.
2018 - 2024
I went back home to Peru for a while and I started a social business recycling plastic bags and turning them into useful products.
2024
I just won an scholarship to study MSc in environmental sciences and sustainability in Lund University! I have a pet named Malta and she is my companion ❤️
We travel all the way from Lima (she was with me in the cabin). As she wasn't accepted in the planes in Europe we are making our way through the north by train. It's been hectic! But we are managing and enjoying. The other day Malta experience her first time at the beach in Barcelona 💝😍
She is super friendly with humans and other animals and love to play with a ball in the park. (Yes I brought some of her toys with me)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love having conversations with new people, with people who travel, or meet people who travel. I'm passionate about learning from new cultures and seeing the world from different perspectives :)
The amazing thing about it, you can learn so much through stories. Recently I meet a girl who does archaeology and another musician that build his own instruments. For me they were amazing! and Im sure there is more stories to hear out there :)

Music, Movies, and Books
Mostly jazz and classic music.
My favorite movie is The Shaw shank redemption. I like movies base on real stories like 2nd war world, or like Invictus.
Book: "1984" "Siddhartha", "Animal farm" (base on Russian revolution), all the books from Garcia Marquez. "La Guerra del fin del Mundo". "Brave New World". "100 años de Soledad"
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Sunrise. When I was backpacking in the Philippines in Sagada, I rent a room in a guess house. My room was small but cossy with a small window to an amazing view to the valley, the rice terraces and all the mountains and forest. At 5.30am in the morning the sun start raising through the mountains. The sky change between purple, yellow, and light blue. Amazing minutes when u see the shadows dancing in the mountain.
The second sunrise, I was in Bagan, Myanmar. We climb a temple to see all the valley. This valley has thousand of small, mediums and large budism/Hinduism temples. You see the light illuminating them and the sky changing colors from the top of a temple. It was the most peaceful moment in my life.
