Hello!

My name is Aga and I'm 27. I'm working as an English teacher in the primary school. Our students are taught using an immersion programme 10 lessons a week. It leads to great results. I love teaching and discovering new ways of doing it better and better. My job is one of the most important aspects of my life as I derive much of my happiness and satisfaction from it.

My interests don't only concern language methodology though. I am also fond of good music especially classical and rock one. I love the music of Chopin and Mozart. One of my favourite bands is the Beatles. What is more, topics of psychology are quite fascinating for me as I am highly interested in personal development. I've read the books of Steven R. Cover, Kate Byron or Brendon Burchard.
Recently I've got immensely keen on cooking. As I went on vegeterian diet I started paying more attention to what I have been eating. Trying new recipes is so much more exciting than I could have ever imagined!

I am trying to lead a healthy lifestyle: vegeterian diet, yoga, everyday meditation, gratitude practice and exercises (Zumba is my favourite <3).

My favourite quote is: "Feel the fear and do it anyway!" I believe life can offer us as much as we are eager to take from it so my best of efforts is to live the most intense possible taking all the opportunities I may encounter on my way. It is so important to leave your comfort zone because on the other side we can find more than we've wished for.

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

Travelling for me is the best way to learn a lot not only about other cultures but also to discover more about myself. When I started traveling, I realised I was braver than I had every imagined.

I'm on couchsurfing because I believe that if you want to discover a new country and its culture, you need to talk to its local people. I prefer to be a traveler rather than a tourist. Learning about other people, listening to their stories and sharing our own ones can be the best experience possible.

Intereses

I enjoy reading all sorts of books about psychology, language methodology and various countries.

I'm also keen on the theatre. I love musicals and drama performances. The shows make me feel like in a different world. Nothing else exists apart from the story that is happening on the stage.

What's more, penpaling is my great hobby. I started it because I wanted to improve my English. But then I met so many amazing and interesting people that my main objective changed into meeting people from around the world.

Música, películas y libros

It is really difficult to choose just one book that I like the most but if I had to opt for one, I would say "The Alchemist" Paulo Coelho. The book is inspiring and motivational. "Man's search for meaning" Viktor Frankl is also an immensely important one to mention as it is about very serious and difficult times.

I like listening to different kinds of music mainly to various songs of the 70s, 80s and 90s. My favourite artists and bands include the Beatles, Elvis Presley, Michael Jackson.

The movies I'm really fond of are psychological, biographical and melodramatic ones. One of my favourites is "12 years as a slave".

I've convinced my student that English pronunciation is as important as other elements of this language.
