About Me
Hi I'm Catherine. I love learning about new people, new cultures and making new friends. I am currently a student but I think the best education comes from meeting new people, sharing experiences and making memories. I'm open minded and a pretty positive person.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I want to travel and get to know people. I want to see all of the good in the world and make the most out of life. I want prove that the world is not as bad as people think. I feel like there is still a sense of community and a general appreciation for all people out there.
Interests
I want to travel as much as possible. Road trips are my guilty pleasure. If I don't have the time to take a weekend road trip, I'll try to squeeze in a 10 hour day trip. Film photography is a hobby of mine. I know as much as I learned in my 1 high school photography class and my 1 college photography class. The basics are all you need in my opinion. My family and friends will agree when I say that I love food. It's very likely that if you see me at any point of the day, I'm chewing. My boyfriend coaches CrossFit and I go off and on. It's crazy how much the body can achieve. I in no way have mastered all of the movements but I love the challenge.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: The Lumineers, The Wild Feathers, The Impressions, Brad Paisley, Blake Shelton. I don't like when people say they like all genres of music because it's such a common phrase but I kind of do. I like about a third of the songs when I am listening to Pandora and often times I don't even know who the artist is.
Movies: The Notebook, The Harvest of Empire, I Wish I was Here. I'm the same way with movies. I like everything from cheesy Lifetime movies, to Hollywood films and documentaries.
Books: The Giver, Walden on Wheels, The Alchemist, We the Animals. I used to work in a library and the funny thing is, I read more now than I did working there.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I ran the Los Angeles Marathon. I know there are a lot of runners out there but I'm not one of them so this is pretty amazing for me.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach some Spanish. My mom was born in Mexico so all of my siblings and I learned Spanish at a young age.
I'm always up for learning new things.
I love sharing stories. I talk a lot.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Conversation, I was going to say quality conversation but I thought that would sound pretentious. I can also make amazing sandwiches and I'm neat. I promise I won't make a mess!
