Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Just started out but it seems like a great way to meet new people and be able to help out some fellow travelers!

I grew up in a tourist-town and from that I usually tend to shy away from the 'tourist-y' accommodations. I would much rather experience a new culture from those locals who actually live it. I think CS is a great avenue for those type of experiences.
