Overview
About Me
I am 20yrs old and currently studying abroad at Aberystwyth University, in Aberystwyth Wales. I am originally from Canada, and it's certainly a beautiful country to travel around in, but I've always been keen to explore more.
I may be young but I strive to seek out adventures whenever I possibly can. After my first big trip a few years ago I have been hooked ever since. I believe travelling is best done with an open mind and the willingness to embrace all cultures and experiences that come along with it.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am new to couchsurfing but i have decided to join after hearing many great things about it from friends and fellow travellers. I love the idea of meeting unique people who share the same love for travel. I have stayed with host families in the past and I really enjoy the aspect of learning from a host that truly has a passion for the area and the ability to create a bond wherever you stay.
Interests
I am an active person and I believe being outdoors is the best remedy. I take part in all different kinds of outdoor activities, living in Canada has allowed me to embrace all kinds of (and sometimes brutal) weather.
I currently play rugby and being in the UK during the Six Nations is super exciting. I also play ice hockey, and flag football. I enjoy hiking and camping as well.
I am currently studying International Development and Globalization. Which explores the areas of politics, economics and humanitarian development of different nations. My interest is in humanitarian development with a focus on educational development and women's empowerment.
I love live music and a good night out in the pubs is something I always enjoy.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love all kinds of different music. But the stuff that I play on the daily is usually folk and rock (new and old).
I can't say that I have a favourite movie, as I am not a huge movie watcher but Shawshank Redemption is one that has always stuck with me.
As for books I can't say I have an absolute favourite but A Fine Balance by Rohinton Mistry and work by Kerouac are ones I can read time and time again.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have camped out in the middle of Chobe National Park in Botswana, and had elephants roaming alongside our tents.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you how to pass a rugby ball and how to make a tackle.
I would love to learn a musical instrument.
I have been making a bucket list over the past few years and crossing off a thing or two with people who I meet during my travels would be an added bonus!
