Overview
About Me
I'm a 29 year old social studies teacher, born to first generation Irish and Swedish parents. I'm originally from Maine, and currently live in south Florida with my fiance. I've traveled to Ireland (the whole island), Canada, England, Scotland, Sweden, Denmark, and Iceland. I've also worked as a sailing instructor on the coast of Maine, as well as a camp counselor in Maine, helping to lead hiking trips along the Appalachian Trail.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Why not? Alot of my camp friends have used the couchsurfing site with much success, and now that I am travelling to a new city, I'd prefer to visit it this way. rather than staying in a sterile room and not taking advantage of everything the city has to offer in a limited amount of time.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music is always a tough one for me to summarize, but currently I've been listening to loads of Miles Kane, Arctic Monkeys, and Nick Cave. Major fan of the Stone Roses, the Pogues, Pulp, Oasis, and Charlatans as well.
Recent movies that I've enjoyed are Calvary, and This is England. When it comes to TV, I love the show Peaky Blinders, Boardwalk Empire, and Gotham.
Books....history books, particularly those that concern early American history, or Irish history. Oscar Wilde and Herman Melville when it comes to fictional works.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I'd have to say working as a teacher has been pretty amazing so far. In addition to working as a camp counselor/sailing instructor. What can I say, I thrive on sharing my passions with others.
