Hey guys!

My name is Oscar Arias! I am a 25 year old medical student willing to start new adventures and meeting amazing people.

One of the things I love the most is music. I play the piano and violin, and I can say that I live my life like an entire musical. Music really takes me to another atmosphere.

I also like martial arts. I am a brown belt in Karate do Shotokan.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I am in couchsurfing cause I really love meeting new people! When I was 17 years old I took my first big trip. I went to Alaska through an exchange program called AFS. It really was a life-experience. Getting to know the culture, language and meeting exchange students from all over the world it is something that I will remember forever.

When I got into med school, I joined to an association called IFMSA (International Federation of Medical Students Associations), and I was in charge of all the exchange students that got into my university. I really loved meeting them and getting the chance to show them around the city and our culture.

Right now, I am doing an exchange in Barcelona thru IFMSA and its been an amazing experience. I am about to start my Euro-Trip and I am looking forward to meeting amazing people through out my trip.

I really like our chilean typical music. If we meet I will show you all of it: Los Jaivas, Inti-illimani, Quilapayún, Los Tres, Eduardo Gatti, between others.

I also enjoy listening to classical music, classical rock, music from 80´s, jazz, etc.

I really love watching movies and TV shows. About that, lately Ive been really interested on watching movies related to neurological cases (I really love neurology), specially those related to the Oliver Sacks books (A really great neurologist that has written several novels about his interesting patients), I recommend you to watch: Awakenings, The music never stopped.

Because I study medicine, I hardly get time to read another thing non medical realated, but usually in summer I enjoy reading mystery books, specially those written by John Katzenbach.
