Overview
About Me
Pity the man in familiar places, who yet feels like a stranger that being said, I am a keen traveler who seek adventure in those unfamiliar places, off the beaten track and find solitude in the anti-routine of travelling.
My motto is stories beat stuff. I own almost nothing that cannot be packed into a backpack within hours. Materialism is just about the most boring thing one can pursue.
Having traveled some 90 countries, I have made it a habit to get to know people and their culture. It is like a drug to me. I hate labels and seriously dislike narrow minded people.
Personally I don't care if you are straight, gay; black or white; muslim, christian, jewish, afghan, thai or mexican. I don't care if you're a woman or man. If you're a cool person I like you regardless. If you're an asshole, your nationality or skin colour won't change this!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
As said, I am travelling to meet people, to embrace new cultures, to experience the place I am to the fullest. A hotel and a annoying teenage crowded tour, hostel or fancy hotel really doesn't cut it. Forget about travel guides which only tell you the shiny story of a place and guide you to the hotspots everyone else goes.
An no one know a particular place better then the people who have been born there or who live there.
I mean seriously, locals are what makes a place truly what it is.
Interests
Besides travelling, I am keen on photography and graphic design. I got hooked on diving a few years ago as well as flying little planes myself.
I like to have a good night. I am a food fetish and intrigued by a good conversation.
