Chi sono
Hello! I am Korean, but currently living in Rotterdam as an exchange student. I'm majoring in business administration at the moment, but I will start to study anthropology after I go back to Korea.
It's so vague and huge to just say 'about me', so you may guess from how I usually travel...? 1) I keep walking. Sometimes this is a problem, because my knees start to hurt after 4-5 hours of walking, but I just can't stop walking... So anyway I'm deliberately trying to take a rest as much as possible, otherwise I will just walk until the day ends, thinking "okay, let's walk a little bit more", "just a bit more", "until the next block", "until that park", etc....... But recently I'm thinking that renting a bike also can be a good idea, if possible! 2) If time allows, it's a good idea to take a seat for 30 minutes in a church or cathedral. 3) Museums worth a visit. But it's the fastest way to make me exhausted, so I usually don't go more than one in one day. 4) Prefer a paper map than smartphone.
Perché sono iscritto su Couchsurfing
So far I was a bit too easily scared about so many things that I encounter during traveling, which made me not able to enjoy the cities fully as a whole. So although I always wanted to meet the real people living there, (and usually that's why I prefer walking than taking a tour bus) it was a bit hard for me to give a start for a conversation with people I meet on the streets. Staying in a hostel always gave me opportunities to meet travelers from all around the world, but not usually with the residences.
In terms of that couchsurfing is such a wonderful idea. I'd love to hear the story of people who are living there, and of course I'd love to share my stories with people who want to know how I live. I want to experience beyond the most touristic places.
Interessi
- Dancing! My first dance was to k-pop music 10 years ago, but for these few years I'm learning jazz dance. I'm interested in modern, streets, and urban as well. I'm also in love with watching dance performances or videos. Recently I was so happy to go to several performances of Dutch modern ballet dance companies! Also watching Korean dance competition program (similar to in the US) is another weekly happiness for me.
- Taking pictures. I remember the first moment when I first went out 'to take pictures' 10 years ago. (What happened to me 10 years ago...?) Anyway since then taking photos has become one of my steady hobby. People see the world differently, and I believe that's reflected on their pictures. I sometimes print the pictures I took to make albums or to give them to my friends, which is always a pleasure.
- Spending time in library. Actually this doesn't mean I read a lot. I just love physically being in a library. I feel cozy and being rich(?) sitting in between the bookshelves. And I also found that the rules and the way books are organized are all different in different libraries. It's quite fun to find the differences!
- Walking all the way
- This is not a realized hobby, but I have interest in crafting something with hands, especially something like knitting or making accessories with strips, etc. I am willing to learn it someday.

Una cosa incredibile che ho fatto
- I found one activity (dancing) that I want to keep as a life-long hobby. I am so proud of all the challenges I had until now for dance to become this important to me.

I want to learn what do you usually eat, hear your travel experience, learn a bit of your language, your feeling about your city, your happiness, your recent difficulties, and your dream!
I can teach you about myself, or about my country as far as I know :D I'm not being patriotic here, but if you are really interested in languages, maybe learning Korean letters can be quite fun - it's an 'invented' letter about 570 years ago!
Cosa posso offrire ai padroni di casa
I can share all my experiences and feelings about the country I lived in, am living in, and visited. I can share my own point of view of my life. If you are not tired or so busy, we can talk a lot or may have meals together! I'm not a good cook, but still I can make some really simple Korean dishes.
