Hi everyone, my name is Aurelie. I was born in Geneva, Switzerland and lived in between both France and Switzerland till the age of 11. Eventually my parents moved us to Miami, where I lived 10 whole years of crazy Miami LOL. After attending college for two years, I transferred to the most amazing school in the world; University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill or just UNC. I continuously travelled in-between the US and Europe during the summers but have also been in Australia, South Africa, Taiwan and more.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

For the simple fact that the locals know best. The tiny bike shops around the corner, the whole in the wall where the best papaya salad is, and the customs. Couch surfing is of course free but its also a way to understand the region like no other way.

Interests

FOOOD. I have been cooking since the age of 6, I will feed you goodness. Other less worthy interest of mine are martial arts, languages, politics, Asia, and traveling.

Music, Movies, and Books

I am ashamed of not having a favorite music artist. Honestlyy, I listen to mainstream generic crap. My priorities lie else where and I truly havent explored music outside of the radio realm. HOWEVER, I love live music and really any genre other than country. My favorite movie(s) are the Harry Potter ones. Do not ask me to pick which one, I believe that is an unfair question. Like asking a parent to pick his favorite child. As far as my favorite book... I can not decide. I have enjoyed the books that I have finished because of their lessons. It varies from "The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People" to "Inkheart".
