Overview
About Me
Hello! I'm a recent graduate from the University of Ottawa where I studied Geography and Ethics. I now work as a Forest Fire Fighter in northern Ontario during the summer and parts of the spring and fall. I'm looking forward to filling future winter months with travelling adventures. I love meeting new people and having shared experiences!
I'm heading to Europe for 3 months with my girlfriend and looking for some great couch surfing interactions!
Unfortunately, I am unable to host couch surfers at this time as I do not have an established home and I will be travelling. In the future I will be able to host, and I truly look forward to it!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love meeting new people and gaining perspective from the locals in places that I visit. Locals can offer the best insight into where to go and what to experience.
I can't wait to join and grow within the couchsurfing community!
Interests
I love the outdoors, exploring, camping, hiking, and canoeing. I'm fond of hockey, good coffee, and chats with friends over beer. I'm down to try pretty much anything!

Music, Movies, and Books
I really enjoy good music! I can appreciate most kinds of music, but I am particularly fond of folk, alt rock, and songs with dynamic instrumentals.
I enjoy a good book, especially ones that fall into the genre of dystopian fiction.
I'm into movies of all genres!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have had the opportunity to lay in the tundra and watch a herd of caribou (a rare sighting as they are scarce, timid, and at risk of being endangered) in the Appalachian Mountains of Quebec, Canada. It was a very humbling and beautiful experience that I will never forget.
Teach, Learn, Share
There is so much to learn! I'm excited to use travelling as a form of informal and alternative education. I'm looking forward to constantly gaining perspective and insight through shared experience. Although I don't have space to offer as a host, I'm happy to meet up for coffee or give insight and recommendations of places to start. Once I establish a home base again I will open my home to fellow couch surfers!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share my company, my energy, and my enthusiasm for discovery and learning. I can share the promise of a place to stay if my hosts ever venture to Canada! Above all, I will share my appreciation for my hosts' contribution to this great community!
