With this letter, I would like to briefly tell you who I am and what I particularly like. What I really enjoy is discovering new places to find the adventure to mix me in other cultures and to do this outside of my comfort zone. If I am behind something then I go for and often get in then excited and will describe myself as a young lady who knows what she wants.

My name is Sophia, I am 28 years old and I am a Social Worker
currently working in the psychiatric field. i studied at Avans University of Applied Sciences in Breda. In the 4th year i took a minor in philosophy
which inspired me enormously I gave me a lot of energy and find out how valuable good conversations about life are and mean to me.

From March 2012 to April 2013 I did voluntary work in a children's home with street children in Brazil. During this period we have given the children and their families support where necessary. We were a kind of guide for determining which direction they wanted to go, so that in the future they could arrange their own things. In this period I lived in Rio de Janeiro a Favela where I worked with a social project with street children. I will not soon forget this period in my life because it impressed me so much.

During this internship of Social Work I worked for 10 months in a orthopedagogical children's center "Every Other". Here I have individually guided children in the ages of 4 up to and including 14 years with psychiatric problems; mainly focused on autism, and couching their parents . Furthermore, I gained individual experience in guiding various clients who often consisted of families at the municipality of Rotterdam, these were people with different questions about education, debts, work, etc.

If I would describe myself, I am enterprising and I like to travel and get lost during the journey itself. Often precisely in the moments of stepping out of your comfort you come across the nicest and most spontaneous moments. At least this I experience when I look back on my experiences of traveling. I also love exchanging stories of how everyone has experienced and experienced the world so far. I like to surround myself with this type of people. And often together you make a fun and interesting story that arises from yes moments.
Furthermore, I can really enjoy good food, which I can also talk about for hours if you, like me, have a passion for it, I think it is fantastic that I love singing and gives me a lot of energy. I'm not done with making memories anyway and my eyes have not seen enough places in the world so I want to bring them to many different places and to experience the moment.

I am spontaneously enthusiastic and down to earth.

I am a social, enthusiastic, creative, spontaneous girl and I still want to travel a lot and meet nice people to make the trip even more complete.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

t seems to me nice to know locals and different cultures.
