About Me

Im currently 20 years old studying zoology and conservation at Bangor university up to master level. I grew up moving a lot and am currently living in house number 28. As a result i love travelling around and seeing new things discovering new places ect ect. But especially trying new food, the more unusual or unheard of the better.
I love cooking, im fairly good at it and i like to experiment in dishes from plenty of places around the world.
I plan when graduating to save up and buy a boat to live in and travel in. Staying on my couch during this period may not be straight forward but at least it will be interesting i suppose.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love travelling ive always moved around a bit and get itchy feet if i stay in one place too long. So i am trying to travel as much as i can as often as i can and hoping that when i do i can meet people from place to place to help me learn more about the places i go to. And if possible learn recipes, meet interesting people explore places and things ive never heard of before.

Interests

I love music, playing it and watching it. Although i generally prefer smaller bar performances than huge gigs and concerts. I play the guitar and the irish tenor banjo, and spend my free time building makeshift instruments out of general discarded trash. My personal best achievement so far is building a violin for 7 pounds, 20 if you count the beer keg the body is made out of (but hey that had other uses).
Other than that i am a massive movie fan and devoted far too much of my life to watching thousands of films.
I love food. I love cooking and especially trying new food from other places in the world. Preferably i'd try them in the country they are from or cooked by someone from them, but when thats not possible i tend to improvise with a few online recipes and my over the top spice cupboard.
And also i love travelling, i moved around a lot as a kid and im currently living in my 28th house, so id love to when i get the chance get out and travel further a field as soon as possible.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music i generally have a very varied taste. I grew up with a lot of rock music from my dad and a lot old 70s 60s 50s and swing music from my mum. But generally my faviroute bands at the moment are Frank Turner, Frank Sinatra, Caravan Palace, Tape 5, Scroobius pip, Radiohead, Jack Johnson and Marilyn Manson.

Movies i like pretty much everything but am not particularly keen on horror movies. Due to growing up with my mum and her generally having control of the remote control i have developed somewhat of a soft spot for rom coms and old movies. Especially Frank Sinatras movies. But some of favorite movies are K-Pax, Dogma, Snatch, Mystery men, Love actually (i blame my mum for that one), the oxford murder mysteries and John dies at the end.

Faviroute books - K- pax, John dies at the end, This book is full of spiders (no seriously dude don't touch it), Good omens, The raymond chandler books, terry pratchet books and robert rankin books.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I built a violin from a hobgoblin beer keg, a spatula and some wood the previous home owner left in the shed.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I always believe in earning my keep wherever i go and would be more than happy to help clean, cook food for and share whatever i know, be it movie and music recommendations, recipes or even zoology and conservation knowledge if your that way inclined. Also due to 28 moves i'm pretty good with housework, DIY and such forth if you need a hand with anything.
