About Me

Why hello, my name is Laura, I am 30, a special needs teacher and a lover of travelling. I am originally from Northern Ireland and couldn't be more cliché Irish if I tried-I am a huge potato fan and I am partial to a guinness on St Patrick's day. So, five years ago I got bitten by the travel bug when I toured Northern India with a choir which was such an amazing experience! I then joined an international choir and have been travelling and singing ever since. I am now based in Manchester at the moment and working as a special needs teacher. I haven't been able to host previously as I have been renting in a 6 bed house share with no sofas. However things have changed within the last few months and I'm currently in the midst of some DIY at my house. It should be finished in the near future so I can actually have a sofabed in which to host people. I live with my boyfriend and 2 rescue cats in a terraced house in Stockport, so all cat lovers need apply.

Music, Movies, and Books

As a music past teacher is a rather tricky question-I am a fan of all styles really but I do love choral music.

I usually am only a book reader in my summer holidays- Da Vinci Code, The Hunger Games, any Lee Child novels.

Movies of all shape and sizes but I am a real fan of true stories and good story lines-The Beautiful Mind and The Imitation Game.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Dived in the Great Barrier Reef in Australia and never had a dental filling :)
