Hey! I'm Marie, from France.
I was born near Paris and have lived there until I start my studies in Lyon. I was a gymnast until that time, but now I'm trying new sports : climbing, trailing, nautic sports... I lived in Lyon for five years as an energy and environment engineering student, then in Bangkok for a few months, in Reunion Island, in Orléans, France, in Lyon again and recently I crashed in Toulouse with my bf before we lived for a 1 year backpack trip.

I love to discover new cultures and meet up with different people, living in an environment totally different from my homeplace is something I fancy and often search.

When I travel I love to see the real local life, eat local food (although it is interesting to see how western food is cooked ;)) and I'm really looking forward to see amazing and great landscapes as I'm really fond of nature. This can be lonely tropical beaches as well as giant mountains and valleys. I love to take my time. I love to read and I do some yoga.

My favorite subjects of discussion are about society, climate change and politics as I dedicate my life to make efforts on limiting my impact.

Last but not least, I love to party and socializing ! I love beer with friends and board games.

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

I'm on couchsurfing first to get to know local people that can make me visit cities not in a tourist way (although I often want to visit "must do" places, if they are touristic places that must be for a reason after all).

I love the philosophy of hosting someone for free and get hosted later by someone else. You give and get back by someone else on a multilateral way.
