Overview
About Me
Hello stranger, my name is Fabian and I'm 28 years old. After finishing my master studies in Sociology, I'm now currently working as a Research Assistant at the Department of Sociology at the Johannes Gutenberg-University Mainz. I'm also kind of into writing a dissertation.
I would consider myself a laid-back guy, who's interested in people, their history and learning with and from them. I also like laughing a lot!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Well, I have a couch.. I like sleeping on couches too and of course I do think that couchsurfing is a really good way for trying out ways of sharing and being with others.
Getting out of your comfort zone and opening your safe space for others also can help one to think in relative terms when it comes to your own way of living.
Interests
I like some sports but doing sport is quite a problematic topic at the moment. I also like 'consuming' all kinds of art, especially going to the movies or to weird historical museums. Of course I do like travelling but I also like being in Mainz together with my loved ones.
I usually drink my coffee with milk, sometimes without and almost never with sugar - unless I need a big kick in the ass, which is mostly in the early morning hours. I love my coffee when it comes from freeway service stations. Weird kink, I know.

Music, Movies, and Books
I prefer listening to more 'handmade' stuff, but I'm open for new things.
If it comes to reading I'm mostly into sociological and anthropological topics because of the thing some people would call work, but I can talk for hours about literature and science.
I guess one of the most important books I've ever red was "Im Westen nichts Neues" from Erich Maria Remarque, a true classic.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I hitchhiked across Europe several times and met a lot of beautiful and interesting people.
I also once curated a small fotographic exhibition, together with some lovely people.
