About Me
Hi guys and girls,
I'm Amélie, 23 years old, currently doing a Master's in Arctic's oceanography. I studied physics as an undergrad but it wasn't applied enough for me.
I'm a big outdoor person! I like to go hiking, camping or climbing as often as I can during weekends and I use my bicycle everyday. I would describe myself as curious, easy going and friendly.
When I'm traveling, I like to take my time and enjoy the view: the best is when I have no deadline. Still, I can be wandering around for 10 hours without even noticing. I'm also a big fan of hitchhiking.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm on CS because it's the best way to meet new people and you can be sure you're not missing any cool place in the area. I've tried hostel and airbnb but all these options are so impersonal and cold. My experiences on CS have been really great, and I'm sure there's even more crazy adventures to come!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Guess which one is true ;)
a) Cycling across the US for three weeks
b) Hiking for 30 days in a row in the wild
c) Being stuck behind a moose in a hike for an hour
Also, I'm proud to maintain a number of visited countries that is equal to my age (the 23rd coming soon).
What I Can Share with Hosts
Most of all, I would like to share moments: visiting the city, going to a special event, hiking close by... I can always offer good stories and advice for your next travel destination. I can also teach french if you want and of course I can cook (at your own risks tho).
