Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm intrigued by the idea of meeting different people and getting a more unique experience when traveling. I had a good experience with staying with a host family in the past, and I want to make new friends all over the world.

Interests

I like photography, although I don't do it as often as I would like.
I also read books, and hang out on youtube a lot.
I sing in a choir and play some guitar.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love music, and I can never choose a favorite... anything.

I like most genres of music, from all eras. If you're really interested to see what I like, I have a public Spotify playlist called Varité.

It's the same with movies, I'm not a big fan of rom coms though. But everything has a time and place doesn't it?

I read mostly urban fantasy/sci-fi. But also classics and many other kinds of books.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of the most exciting things I've done is to go to Japan on a youth exchange program back in 2009. It was through Lions Club.

I got to stay with three different host families and go to a week long camp with people from all over the world. It was a great trip, and I still keep in touch via facebook with a lot of the people I met there.

In fact one of the reasons I joined couchsurfing.com now, is that my friend from Estonia and I are planning a trip together. And since we both had a good experience staying with hosts in Japan. This only seemed right.
