About Me

My name is Lauren,

I'm 21 years old, I was born in Breda, Brabant, the Netherlands. I'm half Indonesian and half Dutch.
I just finished my studie: Hospitality Management. I'm having a gap year now, just to explore Australia, New Zealand, Thailand, Vietnam and Cambodja with my backpack. Also to learn to live by myself. I believe you don't have to be completely lost, to look for yourself. I just like to explore, travel, get to see new things and enjoy new experieces. I'm always in the mood for fun things, meet new cultures and people.

''Life is either an incredible adventure or it is nothing at all''-Helen Keller

Inbetween goals is a thing called life that has to be lived and enjoyed.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm a backpacker with a Working Holiday visa in Australia. I'm looking for locals to show me their cultures and to show me local place's and some cool stuff. I like to meet new people and like to hear their (life)story's.

Interests

Travel, meet new people, make new friends, meet new cultures, visit amazing things, love to be around nice people and do fun things with them. I love music, festivals, running, other sports, beach, going out/night life, to ski, camping, exploring and cooking. I have a passion for food, especially Indonesian food. (When my grandma and father are cooking).

Music, Movies, and Books

I love the way how music can be conected to your feelings .When I go to festivals it's more deephouse, techno. And when I'm listening to my IPod, it's usually verry different, from soul to house and jazz to the best of.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've lived in the South of France, in Nice, for my internship. I'm happy I took that chance, it's a beautiful city and I love the food, language and culture.
And the most amazing thing I currently did, was taking the big step to leave Holland for more than a year, to travel and work. And soon I hope to skydive somewhere and do more amazing stuff here in Australia and Asia.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you Dutch languages and how to make some Indonesian recipes.
I hope to learn basic things,
I want to share experiences.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Currently I don't have much to offer, except for my sociability and fun. I just started my big trip, but the story's will get bigger and more fun to hear.
