About Me
Hello! I’ve been part of the Couchsurfing community since 2015, embracing the spirit of connection, exploration, and mutual support. Unfortunately, I lost my original profile and references, but I’m keen to start building new memories and experiences here! If you do leave a reference, please write it in a language other than English for a personal touch.
My journey before Couchsurfing involved working with children facing challenges, both domestically and internationally, through research and various therapies. Since 2015, I’ve been living and working across different continents—Oceania, Asia, South America, and Europe—immersing myself in diverse cultures and ways of life. I’m a licensed personal trainer with a focus on martial arts and outdoor sports, and I completed a two-year culinary education that led me into the world of professional cooking. My goal now is to open my own restaurant in the near future.
Outside of my culinary passion, I’m an antiques and art enthusiast, with a particular focus on ancient and vintage jewelry. I’ve built up a small private collection, and my love for this craft is funded through an online business in rare and collectible jewelry.
Couchsurfing to me is all about paying it forward, exchanging inspiration, and encountering fresh perspectives. I love introducing people to local spots and hidden gems, sharing good company and stories. Feel free to reach out—I’d love to connect!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To me, Couchsurfing is a gateway to connecting with people who value openness, community, and exploration. It’s a chance to discover not just places, but people’s stories and perspectives.
Music, Movies, and Books
I’m drawn to art-house films with a powerful story, like Amélie, Cinema Paradiso, and The Grand Budapest Hotel. I also love indie and alternative music and have a soft spot for timeless classics from around the world. Some favorite books include Siddhartha by Hermann Hesse, Norwegian Wood by Haruki Murakami, and Braiding Sweetgrass by Robin Wall Kimmerer, which gives me inspiration on sustainability and connection with nature.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Living with a local family in the mountains of Nepal and experiencing their way of life, or swimming in bioluminescent waters off the coast of Vietnam both left a lasting impression on me.
I've had some unique rides across the world from an ostrich in Vietnam to an elephant in Nepal, a camel in the deserts of India, and even a cow in New Zealand. 🤣🤣
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you some culinary techniques, from knife skills to making a perfect dish, or martial arts basics if you’re into that! I’m always eager to learn more about other cultures, eco-friendly living practices, and anything related to the arts. And I’m always happy to share my favorite recipes or insights on local art and jewelry collecting.
What I Can Share with Hosts
If you’re interested, I can cook up a meal or two and bring along some stories and laughter. I’m also happy to help around, share a workout, or help you discover some local hidden gems if you ever visit my city!
