Hi!

I believe that if you are afraid of something you should do it, unless the potential risk outweighs the potential benefits.

I'm really into outdoorsy activities. I've worked with kids on an outdoors ropes course as well as on a farm. Aside from that I like to kayak, rock climb, hike, go to beautiful out door areas like the beach, forests, lakes, rivers, mountains etc. and write, think, read, listen, play music.

I write a lot, like to tell stories, play some ukulele and guitar, and have started to mess around with learning acro yoga, poi, and staff. Amongst some other stuff.

I also really enjoy good beer, great food, and exceptional conversation.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I don't just want to pop between museums with no idea of what the real culture or lifestyle in a place is like.

What better way to get a real understanding of a community then to live and spend time with the people who live there?

I'd really enjoy finding some like minded individuals to spend time with and get to know. And truly connect and enjoy the benefits of being in a home rather then just a hostel.

Well I would be happy to learn many things.. About life, culture, music, dance, food, wine, beer, play, games, languages

And the few things I could teach are English, about my life, life in America, my perspectives on issues around the world and culture, a little ukulele, public speaking skills, a little guitar, some herbal medicine, some song lyrics, a few things about following your passions and overcoming your fears.

I'd like to share meals, drinks, music, silence, stories, and culture and life experiences.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can offer myself as a clean and respectful host guest. My things are generally kept tucked in my own area and I clean up my bed each morning. I can offer a shared hand in cooking meals, sharing the company of a meal, and helping clean up afterwards. I can offer my experiences as a traveler and my experiences living in California. I can also offer my mind and the jokes, comments, opinions and stories it conjure up.
