Overview
About Me
I'm a Medical Engineering student (master's degree) with a passion for music and snowboarding. Very rational, open minded, adventurous, honest, humorous, kind. Neither the most extrovert nor the most introvert person you'll ever meet, but don't worry, I know how to keep a conversation going. Always interested in learning about other cultures and meeting new people, hence my love for travel.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
A fellow traveller recommended I try out couch surfing, for it was cheap and more importantly, a great way to meet locals (and other travellers, e.g. at the events, ). I'd heard about it before and I've always been interested in the concept. I guess it's similar to airbnb, which I really like, but more based on the idea of sharing. It seemed cool, so I decided to give it a go.
Interests
My interests range from both listening and playing music (drums mainly, guitar, little piano) to snow/surf/kite boarding (or really anything that'll give me an adrenaline rush), from food (eating and cooking) to travelling and from culture to science.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: Recently Arctic Monkeys, Ed Sheeran, Jamie Cullum and Rachmaninov. But it varies. My taste encompasses lots, though I rarely ever listen to Rap, Raggae or HipHop. I dislike hardstyle/hardcore.
Movies: Interstellar was great, but so were Intouchable and District 9. I liked the Silver Linings Playbook too, but of course, there are so many more movies out there worth mentioning.
Books: Currently reading the 'Malazan book of the fallen' series. Greatly anticipating next book in the 'Song of Ice & Fire' series (=game of thrones).
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
That would have to be skydiving, though I'm selling so many other great experiences short by only listing one.
Teach, Learn, Share
Always looking to improve myself in the things listed under 'Interests', though should you want to learn about any of those, I'd of course be happy to teach and share what I know. Learning about new languages can be fun too.
What I Can Share with Hosts
My wealth of knowledge on interesting and non-interesting (mostly scientific) facts. Whatever I know of the Dutch, English, French, German and to a much, much lesser extent Spanish, Italian, Japanese, Korean and Chinese languages (really, don't expect much of those last ones). My humor. My stories. My friendship. And once I get back from my travels and obtain one: my couch ;)
