About Me

CURRENT MISSION
To get out there and see as much of the world as I can before I keel over and/or my heart gives out.

ABOUT ME
I'm a pretty open guy. Mostly in that I'm pretty keen on trying new things. So I'm all for going on adventures where I'll just dive in and experience as much as I can. After all, what doesn't kill you, makes you stronger, right?

PHILOSOPHY
Life's for living, I can sleep after I'm dead.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Traveling has always been a pretty fun experience for me. Getting around, seeing places, experiencing all that life and the world has to offer. After awhile though, I've found that life's only as interesting as the people who you live it with, are. Couchsurfing looks to me like an interesting place where I can meet people who might have lots to share with me in terms of their experiences and knowledge, be it when I travel or when I host them over here in Malaysia. So yeah, sounds like a lot of fun to me.

Interests

I love either composing music or playing it. When I'm not pouring over a new piece of music, I'll probably be busy practicing my viola. The occasional concert now and then gets me pretty hyped up too. In short, music is probably one of the more dominating interests that I have in life. But when I'm not occupied with the love of my life, you'd probably catch hiking or just participating in physical activities.

My other interests also include gaming, reading and just hanging out.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music - I'm a pretty Classical guy, since I'm a music student. So, usually Classical Music's my first love. But when I'm not listening to that, I'd probably be listening to a lot of World Music. I especially love Tuvan Throat Singing, usually performed by the group Huun-Huur-Tu.

Movies - The Last Samurai, The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, Inception and Interstellar, just to name a few.

Books - Conversations With God, Tuesdays With Morrie, Five People You Meet In Heaven and literature by Pushkin.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Me and my family traveled across New Zealand in a camper van (one of those mobile homes) for two weeks. It was pretty fun roughing it with my folks and my sister since most of the time it felt like camping. One of the best things that I'd say I've ever done in my life; getting to spend all that time together and getting back to nature in all of the natural beauty that New Zealand had to offer. We saw places like Mt. Cook, Lake Tekapo and Milford Sound. It was definitely and awe-inspiring experience.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach - Malaysian culture's pretty colourful. We have a lot, and I mean A LOT to share with the world. I'd be more than happy to share what I know with anyone who's interested in knowing more about the land of my birth.

Learn - I'm always open to learning new things, be it learning how to start a campfire, to learning how to speak a new language. If you're willing to teach, I'm definitely willing to learn~ ;D

Share - Philosophy's always been a great interest of mine. Different cultures are bound to have different philosophies, right? It'd definitely be interesting to exchange views on this with people from different backgrounds.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I have a pair of hands. This usually means I'm pretty handy with chores and housework, haha. Aside from that, I've always been fond of sharing my experiences with those I meet. So, I'd definitely be pretty happy to share that with my host. In addition to that, I'd be pretty happy with cooking a Malaysian meal or two~
