Billie and I have known each other for nearly a decade, and we've been partners for about 5 years. We're pretty laid back about most stuff. We wanted to live life on the road. So, in April 2015 we gave away most of our stuff to travel with a backpack until something else seemed like more fun. Still traveling, surviving, & learning. Other than that, we love intelligent conversation, new experiences, and good times with good people.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We're here because one of the reasons we wanted to travel was to meet new people and explore new places. Having friends is what makes life worth living!

Rage Against the Machine to Dr. Dre and Janis Joplin. Classical music is cool too. Currently reading A people's history of the US by Howard Zinn. Love philosophy! I read the a lot about current events, too. I like lots of genres of movies, from documentaries to Sci first and most things in between.. I think I'm pretty open minded, but I'm terrible at remembering them. The Wire is a favorite. Breaking bad was cool too. Game of thrones of course. The boondocks. Lots of things

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hitchhiked cross country 7000 miles without getting killed by axe murderers. Saw perceptions about the country changed big time and learned a lot about ourselves in the process.

Teach, Learn, Share

Love to share my experiences and observations with others. Constantly analyzing the world & trying to be help the world be a better place. Can teach you how to stealth camp, can tell you lots of cool shit that has happened to Billie & I over our cross country travels.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Conversation, especially about politics and systemic change. An interesting perspective. Good inquiry. Like to cook plant based food too and would love to cook a meal for the host. We can go hiking if we hang out, which is always fun. Some interesting stories and an energetic, friendly attitude. I'll clean up after myself and be respectful.
