About Me

Hey! I'm a 27 year old girl born in Ushuaia, Argentina (the southest city in the world!) who lives in Buenos Aires

Having to start over in different cities I learnt to adapt to different enviroments and always get the best of it. I'm a friendly person, chatty, and easy-going. I'm very enthusiastic and I have usually a good mood, except for the very early morning and when someone abruptly wakes me up!
My friends think I'm a good listener and that I give good advice, and I also consider myself a very trustworthy person. I really enjoy a good talk or debate that allows me getting to know the other person. I'm very loyal to my friends and family, and among everything very grateful for the life that I have!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've heard from this experience and tried it a few years ago, as I spent 7 months in Germany for a scholarship =) at first I couldn't believe people where friendly enough to share their homes and lives with a stranger! But the more I tought about it I became more excited with the idea of getting to now a place by their own people.

It was really an amazing opportunity to live in Europe and really sink in its culture! I made lots of new friends along the way, and altough I don't have a couch here in my place in Argentina, I'd love to meet up and show you around. I'm very open to new experiences and ready to try new things, this kind of traveling is new to me and I'm excited to try it.

Interests

I'm an chemical engineer =)

I also love languages, I'm fluent in English but I've also been studying German for a couple of years, still fighting to get it! I love learning about different countries, their way of living, traditions and culture, and mostly their people. That's what I believe that in travelling, the best way to get the most of a place is by its people.
I also love listening to music and mainly enjoying a good sunny day outdoors, maybe with a picnic or just walking in the park. I just love being outside in the nature :)

Music, Movies, and Books

Music! I love it, I collect Concert tickets since I'm 14 years old, the pile is getting pretty heavy by now! Punk rock music has been, is and will always be the love of my music life (NUFAN, Lagwagon, Millencolin, Bad Religion and of course the classics Ramones, Sex Pistols, The Clash) , but I also listen to a lot of hardcore, alternative and classic rock. I listen pretty much everything, according to my mood, the weather and the time of the week.
As for movies and books I tend to prefer always the Fantasy genre (LOTR my favourite saga of all times) and also the not-so-based-in-actual-history stories (everything from the Ancient Greece to the Middle Ages and so on)
I used to read A LOT as I was younger, but the University has burned my brains! I'm currently reading a lot from Dostoievsky and loving it

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Flying in a hot-air ballon in Capadoccia, Turkey! Really one of the best experiences of my life, the feeling of floating in the air and just witnessing the" lunar" landscape is something truly amazing.

Seeing the northern lights in Norway..the dream of my life

Climbing to the top of the Niederhorn in Switzerland.. Challenging but an amazing view after all

Travelling 12 hours from Moscow to St Petersburg in a strange mysterious van with my Argentinian friends and a non speaking English driver... definitely fun

Staying at a traditional ryokan in Japan and seeing the snow monkeys bathe in hot springs

Teach, Learn, Share

My experiences, my cooking :) I make a good English pudding :)
As for learning, everything about you and your city! I'm not a very good bike rider, so I'd find it great if I could get better at it and also get to know the city or the landscape at the same time!
As for sharing, a good talk, a beer, mate (traditional argentine drink) or a coffee, a picnic outdoors or just some good laughs!

What I Can Share with Hosts

My experiences, my toughts, my funny stories/dreams, pictures from other travels, EMPANADAS!! I forgot, I make some good empanadas (again, argentine food!)
