I am a fourth year English Literature student from Vancouver, Canada who is currently studying abroad in Berlin, Germany. I think of myself as being an extroverted introvert. That is, I love being around others, but when the time calls for it I am quite happy to keep myself company.

I take pleasure in the little things in life: listening to rain fall on the roof, a fresh cup of tea, and good conversations with friends (or friends to-be!).

I believe that you can get to know a place so much better when you first get to know its people. I enjoy meeting people from diverse backgrounds and learning about their personal experiences and interests.

兴趣

I’m a bibliophile, and board game addict. I enjoy spending quiet days in knitting, cooking and baking, but as soon as the weather is nice you can find me in a park reading, going on long walks, hikes, and in general, exploring. I love taking in various cultural events in the places I visit, whether they are theatre performances or classical music concerts.

I very recently got into blues dancing when a friend came to stay with me. I have since taken an introductory class and hope to make this one of my regular hobbies!

I’d classify my general musical tastes as folk rock; anything ranging from 60s classic rock to traditional Celtic music.

Movies, I don’t watch a lot. But the few that I can watch over and over again are Pirate Radio, Hot Fuzz, Love Actually, and Amélie.

I love reading just about whatever I can get my hands on, again spanning a wide variety of genres. I have recently discovered a love for graphic novels.

As mentioned before, I love cooking and baking. In exchange for putting me up, I can make you pancakes for breakfast, risotto for dinner, or cookies and cinnamon buns for tea :D
