Overview
About Me
I'm always looking to try new things and get to know different cultures and different people.
I've been teaching English as a foreign language for the past few years so I'm happy to help with that, if you can help me with your native language in exchange that's ideal. My current project is to learn the absolutely useless skill of counting to 10 in as many languages as I can, I think I'm on about 14 at the moment!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To meet locals who can help me to get to know places and get to know people! I usually arrive in places alone and with no contacts so couchsurfing is how I often meet people.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love Joni Mitchell and The National, but it's not exactly happy music! I’ve been listening to more Latin American and French music recently, like Keny Arkana and Calle 13.
Favourite books - Catch-22, I Know Why The Caged Bird Sings, Short Walks from Bogotà
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Hitchhiking in South America, such a great way to meet people and go to hidden places.
Teach, Learn, Share
As an English teacher, that is the skill I find easiest to teach and languages are the skills that I would most like to learn, but I'm open to learning anything new! I'm an average cook, so I can teach you if you're terrible and learn from you if you're excellent 👌
(Same as above with Salsa dancing :) )
What I Can Share with Hosts
I've got a few stories to share and I've got hundreds of "would you rather..." questions in my head so conversation never dries up 👍
E.g... would you rather have eyebrows for teeth or teeth for eyebrows?
I also love to discuss current affairs and global issues, I enjoy hearing a new perspective on an issue that makes me think twice about my own assumptions and/or prejudices.
