Overview
About Me
My name is Flávia, I'm 23 years old and I live in São Paulo, Brazil.
I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Relations and I've been working in advertising for almost 6 years as an Account Executive of global brands such as Johnnie Walker, Renault, Alibaba.com, Spotify and Antarctica, a Brazilian brewery.
In 2015, I intend to change my urban lifestyle and have more contact with different cultures, nature and also to get out of my comfort zone. Therefore, I hope couchsurf will help me to have an insider’s perspective of each country I want to visit and give me the opportunity to meet people in the new places I’ll be visiting.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm couchsurfing because I want to have an insider perspective of each place I go. I decided to quit my job after many years so I could follow my dream of travelling around South America. I expect that Couchsurf helps me to meet new and awesome people in the places I go.
Interests
I love music, cinema, photography and literature. My intention is, after this 6 (or more) months trip, go to college again and study social sciences.

Music, Movies, and Books
I like many different kinds of music, from samba to jazz.
My favorite book is "Cien años de soledad" from Gabo and my favorite writer is Jorge Amado.
I love early 20th century latin autors.
What I Can Share with Hosts
As an Account Executive I learned to develop great communication and people skills, so I don't mind speaking in public and I will be glad to help you practice English, Spanish or Portuguese.
I also have skills with kids. I studied in the Red Cross first aid program and learned things such as educational ways to stimulate kids while they are playing.
When I was a teenager I was a girl scout, so I have no problem building, farming or cooking at all. Even though I’m a vegetarian, I have no problem cooking meat.
At last, I was a volunteer in an animal shelter and I loved the experience, so it'd be great if I had the chance to do something similar again.
