Overview
About Me
I graduated from University in Nova Scotia at Dalhousie 4 years ago. I now live in Vancouver, British Columbia with my partner Gavin. I work for the company Patagonia in Vancouver. I'm an active person I love to practice yoga, hike, and bike. I love a good coffee but I’m obsessed with herbal teas, I drink tea in the largest mugs imaginable. I live a low stress, calm, simple, happy, and healthy life. I’m passionate about reducing my footprint on this earth through minimalism, simple living, and conscious consumption.
I'm not a heavy drinker, or partier. Very much early to bed, early to rise.
I’m very passionate about cooking and eating fresh delicious foods. I’m passionate about organic farming, and the soil health of our planet.. Cooking has totally opened up my mind to a whole new way of eating. I feel healthier than I’ve ever felt eating my own home cooked vegan food. If we end up meeting I’d love to cook you something fun and delicious. My favourite thing to make for other people right now is buffalo cauliflower wings with vegan ranch dip!
Most of my couch surfing experiences were on an incredible road trip with my partner Gavin in the south western U.S. On our road trip we camped, took photos, soaked up the natural beauty that the country has to offer: Austin, Hueco Tanks, Venice, San Francisco, and Big Sur (to name only a few) were some of our favourite destinations.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I’m on Couchsurfing right now because I’m travelling on the Hawaiian islands, and between some of my nights camping I’d love to do some couch surfing to meet likeminded people!
I’m also on couchsurfing to host when I’m home! I want to help support travellers, meet great people, and cook for everyone who comes through my home.
We want to meet people who are living life they're own way, Designing your life to be exactly how you want it and not settling for less, these are the people I find most inspiring.

Music, Movies, and Books
I like happy folk music, feel good funk music, ethereal electronic tunes.
Artists: Fleet Foxes, Laura Marling, Barenaked Ladies, Beach Boys, Belle and Sebastian, Beirut, Joni Mitchell.
Movies: I know "I Love You Man" off by heart, and have watched "Vicky Crisitna Barcelona" probably 9-ish times.
Books: Wild by Cheryl Strayed. $100 Startup by Chris Guillebeau. The 4 Agreements changes my life every time I read it! Oh! And I just discovered SARK! if you don’t know, now you know, she’s an incredible woman author who writes empowering books for women.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Ran a half marathon in Vancouver, British Columbia.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm good at knitting, crocheting, sewing, vegan cooking, doing yoga, taking photos - and would be happy to impart knowledge on any of these topics to anyone who is curious.
I'd love to learn more from other yogis and chefs!
Again, I like to spend time with people who inspire me - and what inspires me are people living their lives the way they want to, people who believe that they're no use to the world if they're not first and foremost happy, healthy, and vibrant. I love hearing about creative, artistic, entrepreneurial, physical/ sporty/ outdoorsy career and life paths.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Positive and healthy energy, great conversation, cooking skills, yoga. photography. I would love conversations on personal and spiritual development, food, books, and the outdoors.
