Hello!
I currently live in Minneapolis, MN. I love Minneapolis because the people are made of pretty tough stuff. Some of my favorite things to do include riding bikes, going hiking in the woods, making fancy cocktails for friends, going out for breakfast, cooking breakfast at home, reading everything, working on bike projects, dancing, spending hours drinking coffee, looking at water, writing letters to friends in other states or who live in town, hanging out with my folks, soccer in the park, dogs parks, exploring new cities and "discovering" tiny little shops that do things like repair shoes. I am employed seasonally at a bike shop in Mpls which means that since it is the off-season, I am traveling and spending part of the winter with family in Los Angeles at the moment.

I am here because my partner and I are looking for a place to stay for a few days while we visit with his family in Berkeley at the end of January/early February.

A few years ago, I lived in Ecuador for four months and got to help the caretakers at a condor rehabilitation preserve clean out the condor enclosures. The condors were still in their enclosures while we cleaned them and they kept hopping around and hissing at me.

I've been to Berkeley once before and loved it! My partner has family in town and they've given us some excellent recommendations for places to go in Berkeley. During past visits, we've been to the Starry Plow, The Missouri Lounge, a lovely Ethiopian restaurant on Telegraph whose name escapes me, up and down College Ave., and to Amoeba Music. I'm excited to go back and keep exploring.

My partner and I are respectful and tidy. We understand how amazing it is that people open up their homes to strangers through couchsurfing and we are so grateful that they do!
